Having planned our trip in reasonable detail, we decided on a change almost immediately when the opportunity presented itself to travel down early & meet up with Stuart Hadaway. Stuart used to work at the RAF Museum in Hendon & was exceptionally helpful in assisting the research I have done on Flt Lt John Harder. So, a quick booking into the Premier Inn saw us heading South… a quick book in & the pub called!

Had a great chat & catch-up with Stuart, including an update on the new book that he’s been asked to write in the “Shire” series about RAF pilots… hopefully, he’s going to be able to include at  least a photo of Harder; if not more.
